A gate that draws attention - HFF

Standing on a hill, "Notre-Dame-de-Lignou" is surrounded by its cemetery and overlooks the valley. The neo-Byzantine architecture dates from the 19th and 20th centuries and is modelled on the Sacré-Coeur in Montmartre. The bell tower is topped by a 4m-high golden Virgin Mary, who is the focus of a major annual pilgrimage on 15 August.


UN PORTAIL QUI ATTIRE L'ATTENTION. Elevée sur une colline, Notre-Dame-de-Lignou est entourée de son cimetière et domine la vallée. Son architecture de style néo-byzantin est de construction récente (XIXe et XXe s.), dans l’esprit du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre. Le clocher est surmonté d'une Vierge Marie dorée de 4 m de haut, qui fait l'objet d'un important pèlerinage annuel le 15 août.


EIN TOR, DAS AUFMERKSAMKEIT ERWECKT. Die auf einem Hügel gelegene "Notre-Dame-de-Lignou" ist von ihrem Friedhof umgeben und überblickt das Tal. Die neobyzantinische Architektur stammt aus dem 19. und 20. Jh., und orientiert sich am Sacré-Coeur in Montmartre. Der Glockenturm wird von einer 4 m hohen vergoldeten Madonna gekrönt, die jedes Jahr am 15. August Ziel einer grossen Wallfahrt ist.
