So ein winziger Schmetterling - Such a tiny butterfly
Gestern bei einem Waldspaziergang konnte ich immer wieder große Schwärme eines winzigen Schmetterlings (ca. 1 cm Körperlänge!) beobachten. Die kleinen Tierchen hebten und senkten sich im Sonnenschein und vollführen immer wieder seitliche Schwenkungen. Die extrem langen Fühler (3x so lang wie der Körper! Siehe PiPs) waren beim Flug schräg aufwärts gerichtet mit nach hinten gebogenen Enden. Es waren Männchen vom Grünen Langfühler(Adela reaumurella) aus der Familie der Langhornmotten. Wenn die Männchen sich an einem Strauch niederlassen, dann geschieht es mit halb offenen, ganz flach gehaltenen Flügeln, wobei die Farben irisieren. Besonders zahlreich fliegen Männchen dort, wo ein Weibchen verweilt.
Es war für mich die Erstbeobachtung dieser Insektenart.

Yesterday during a walk in the woods I kept seeing large swarms of a small butterfly (approx. 1 cm body length). The little animals rose and fell in the sunshine and repeatedly swiveled sideways. The extremely long antennae (3 times as long as the body! See PiPs) were directed diagonally upwards with the ends bent backwards during the flight. They were males of the green longhorn (Adela reaumurella) from the longhorned moth family. When the males settle on a shrub, they do so with their wings held half open and completely flat, whereby the colors iridesce. Males fly in particularly large numbers where a female is lingering.
It was my first observation of this insect species.
