Wie leuchtende kleine Sonnen ... Like little shining suns ...
Auf Kalkgestein kann man zurzeit diese kreisrunden gelben, in der Mitte orange gefärbten Krustenflechten entdecken (Größe bis ca. 5 cm). Es handelt sich um den Orangeroten Schönfleck (Variospora aurantia). Diese hübsche Krustenflechte liegt dem Untergrund fest an und ist ungenießbar. Das Foto entstand in einem fränkischen Schutzgebiet.

These circular yellow crustose lichens, coloured orange in the centre, can currently be found on limestone (size up to approx. 5 cm). This is the Variospora aurantia. This pretty crustose lichen adheres firmly to the substrate and is inedible. The photo was taken in a Franconian nature reserve.
