The port of Ancona is one of the largest ferry ports in the Mediterranean Sea
. There are daily ferries to Igoumenitsa, Corfu and Patras in Greece, Split, Zadar and Vis in Croatia, Albania and Çeşme in Turkey.
The port is also visited by freighters and cruise ships.
