Eriophorum scheuchzeri is a perennial herbaceous plant, a species of the genus Eriophorum of the family Cyperaceae. The species is named after the Swiss naturalist Johann Jacob Scheichzer (1672–1733)
In Iceland it is called Arctic (or Greenland) cotton
Eaten by reindeer in spring and early summer when young
