did it really fade just like that? it's perfect.

if you don't mind my asking, do you scan these old items (if so what scanner do you use? - i haven't already asked you, have i?), or do you photograph them? you do such a great job.

Thanks very much! I usually use a Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner with Epson Scan software to scan the items in my collection, and I remove some of the worst imperfections using a freeware image editing program called Paint.NET. But otherwise I try not to change the essential quality of the images.

I've been lucky to find some unique flawed photos like Misty above and these below. Adding an amusing caption or description can make them more interesting, too.
