Anlässlich der documenta 2012 konnten Besucher hier eine temporäre Installation des britischen Künstlers Anthony Gormley erleben. Gormley entwickelte die Installation eigens für die fast 2.500 m² große und bis zu 19 m hohe Nordhalle mit ihrer offenen Stahlkonstruktion.
Barfuß betrat man eine von der Dachkonstruktion abgehängte, leicht pendelnde Plattform und konnte sich in eine ungewohnte Dimension der Wahrnehmung entführen lassen.
