Bus Stop (Newsroom Edit)

Late February. Getting late in the afternoon; what many people would call teatime. The bus was late and she was impatient. Just for a moment she paused from her patrol of the footpath around the bus stop and sat, tensed, on the steel tube that passes for a seat in a modern bus shelter. Hands on hips reveals her anxiety to be on her way. One hand ungloved, ready to handle the process of getting a ticket. Not a second to be wasted. Now looking away from the direction the bus will approach in the hope that her next glance to the right will be cause for celebration as it hoves into view. February. Such a dreary month. Nikon D50 + Tamron AF 55-200mm f/4-5.6 Di II LD lens.

Bus Stop

Nikon D90 and AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G lens. I made thousands of photographs using this lens. It was not the best made lens (plastic mount, for a start), nor much good at controlling distortion (useless in fact), but for sharpness it was remarkable.

A Tree-Lined Street

A tree-lined street. A bus stop painted blue. A vehicle approaching on the right; another braking on the left. Some streaks, and a 'V' shape in the sky. I hope this description has helped.

Things You Can Do On A Wet Day

A secondhand Canon PowerShot compact camera bought for no other reason than it would fit into a coat pocket. When framing this scene the camera slipped just as I pressed the shutter. I've posted the picture before, but not in B&W, which fascinates me more and more these days.
