VoR[84] - summer 1984 with No9 in hi-viz livery
VoR Locomotive No.9 "Prince of Wales" in the "hi-viz" livery carried in the early 1980s. I recall chasing this up & down the valley a few days before the official unveiling, not that it was easy to miss.
If I remember correctly, the colour was described "Stroudley's 'improved engine green'" [which sort of proves he was somewhat colour-blind] - this yellow ochre has been seen on the Bluebell Railway's "Stepney" and also on "Fenchurch".
In 2019 No.9 was in GWR livery and carried the number 1213, in 2024 she was in the VoR museum with that number.
