SBB - lower part of Cauldron Snout
Looking down the lower part of Cauldron Snout [Yes, that really is the name of this waterfall / cascade] where the river cuts into part of the Whin Sill [Dolerite].
It is just below Cow Green Reservoir on the Upper River Tees, on the border of Cumbria and Co. Durham, in Northern England. Much of the area is protected as an SSSI. [Site of Special Scientific Interest - geology & flora in particular]. Part of the route for a long distance footpath "The Pennine Way" which follows the river here is just behind me.
