Millesimo - il vecchio ponte
Il ponte della Gaietta, denominato anche ponte vecchio e icona di Millesimo, è citato nel documento di fondazione del borgo datato al 9 novembre 1206, anche se la struttura potrebbe risalire al XII secolo. La torretta di guardia con merli ghibellini, fu la porta d’accesso a Millesimo dal lato ovest del borgo. Una delle due arcate dell’antico ponte crollò nel 1744, assieme ad una torretta, in seguito ad un’alluvione della Bormida di Millesimo; successivamente nel 1878 fu rimpiazzata da un ponte, sostituito successivamente con una passerella sospesa, ancora oggi presente (vedere in una foto precedente, mentre nei commenti c'è la torre vista dall'altro lato)
D'origine romana e posto sul tracciato della via Aemilia Scauri, Millesimo merita una tappa !
