Hallamshire Hotel
Situated on West Street in Sheffield, the Hallamshire Hotel sports a fine tiled frontage bearing the name of long lost brewers William Greaves & Co. Ltd.
Greaves founded the Norfolk Brewery, Broad Street c.1835 and moved to South Street, Park, in 1865. The limited company was registered 1909. In 1920 William Greaves & Co Ltd was acquired by Duncan Gilmour & Co. Ltd along with 29 public houses and brewing ceased. The brewery was demolished in 1962.
