Nach Plänen des Architekten Claus Meyer (1870-1922) und Ferdinand Usinger entstand 1908/1909 das Kontorhaus mit seinem markanten Treppenhaus. Nach dem Krieg bekam das Haus 1955 durch Architekten Walter Meyer ein zusätzliches Staffelgeschoss. Das elegante Treppenhaus in Form eines Dreiecks endet im Lichthof, der mit den Fenstern für Helligkeit sorgt.

In Hamburg, around 250 so-called Kontorhäuser survived the war. They were mainly built around 1900 and were exclusively office buildings. All of them have a representative staircase and a corresponding entrance area.

Hallo Guido, es war auch bei mir das erste dreieckige Treppenhaus. Aber auch bei den anderen Kontohäusern bin ich aus dem staunen nicht rausgekommen. Vor hundert Jahren war genug Geld und Ideen da.

Dieses Wochenende ist in Hamburg ein Treffen von ipernity-Mitgliedern und ich bin in einem Hotel untergebracht, von dem die von Dir fotografierten Häuser nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt sind. Da kommen Deine Fotos als Inspirationsquelle genau zum richtigen Zeitpunkt. Kann man in die Kontorhäuser denn einfach so reingehen? Kommt man da ggf. nur zu bestimmten Tageszeiten rein?

Hallo Mikus, unser Rundgang durch einige der Hamburger Kontorhäuser hat mich wirklich begeistert.
Von mehreckigen bis runden Treppenhäusern war alles dabei. Ich kann das nur jedem Fotografen empfehlen.
