Tovel Lake is located in the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park,Trentino. It is surrounded by thick forests and the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites.
Up until the 1960s, Tovel Lake was famous for another reason: every summer its waters used to turn red, due to a special algae. In fact, Tovel Lake was also known as the ‘Red Lake’.

Praça da República, Tomar

Praça da República is the town’s central square. Standing in the middle of it, you’ll find the statue of Gualdim Pais, a Knights Templar Master and the founder of Tomar.
The beautiful pavement is an example of "calçada portuguesa" (thank you Isabel!)

Mosteiro de Jerónimos: the cloisters
The Jerónimos Monastery is one of the most prominent examples of the late Portuguese Gothic Manueline style of architecture in Lisbon.
What I loved most were its cloisters, maybe the most beautiful cloisters I have ever seen.
