Yes I can fully understand why these trees are so well liked. I know they produce olives but I'm not keen at all on olives, so if I had a tree like that - the base would be covered with olives which had fallen off the tree - good compost maybe!

It's a cultural thing, Jenny.. Southern European babies are fed various olive compound feeds from birth so don't have any aversion to the taste.

I don't like olives either..........but I'd love to have an olive tree like this in my garden. I've seen a few in garden centres but a tree, even half the size of this one, would cost hundreds of pounds!

I didn't like them either, Keith until I went regularly to the South of France on a School Exchange for most of my teen years and got to acquire the taste. Now I think nothing of it. Thank you!
