At least the gorse is coming into its own!

At least the gorse is coming into its own!
Another staggeringly DUUUUULL day, but my walk to the pub (and watch England being trounced by France at home) is at least brightened by all the gorse bushes coming out. It seems to work OK on large.
Sight and sound. An enjoyable Robert Palmer song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyNa-ReeZc8&list=RDlyNa-ReeZc8&start_radio=1

A nicely composed shot Andy with the line of the path leading to the gate and beyond. The yellow gorse flowers stand out very well against the darker background,.

It's brightened by the beautiful yellow gorse Andy. Not much that can be said about the rugby defeat!! :-(

The gorse (s and pl) only really started to come out a week or so ago, although there have been tiny patches here and there right through winter.

Oh I would imagine the scent of newly erupted gorse is stunning. I remember it used to smell of vanilla very strongly up my driveway - the amount of gorse was similar to that on my driveway.

I've never thought to smell it, Jenny. I'll do so on my next walk, although post Covid my sense of smell and taste has changed (but much better as of late).

Thank you, Nora! I'm about to post another gorse photo. They're even further out since this shot taken last week.
