Lovely! I had 8 figs from my fig tree this year....that's a record ;-))

I must have been luckier than you, Rosa. At one time, at a garden in Harrow, I had a fig tree in the garden with an unrestricted root-run in the heavy London clay and 4 smaller trees in large containers. Most years the large tree produced 3-5 fruit only but the ones in containers were usually prolfic and I enjoyed making fig jam, etc. I had read that a restricted root-run and soil which drained well were key and so it proved!

Lovely light on the wall...........bringing out all the shapes and textures. Well taken Andy.
