Stadtdschungel - City jungle
➽ Welcome to the jungle ♫ ♪ ♪ ♫ ♩ ♬

➽ A whole alley all in green, almost overnight: Augsburg's "Mettlochgässchen" (the name of the alley) has caused a lot of excitement.
Those who passed through it found themselves suddenly in a tunnel made of bamboo, palm trees and other exotic plants. In addition, birds chirped from the off - a piece of tropical paradise in the middle of the city. Many have wondered what it is all about.
The "Stadtsparkasse" (Savings bank) Augsburg solved the riddle: The tropical green alley is an installation called "Stadtdschungel" (City jungle), with which the financial institute wants to make urban society aware of the importance of sustainability.

➽ Actually a nice idea, a green alley - but in my opinion the topic was missed:
The campaign lasted 3 weeks, during this time a 13 ton fire truck had to drive through the pedestrian zone every day to pour water... one can speculate about water consumption and CO² emissions.
