Taking these is an investment in time as you cant do any thing I did this in part twilight and mostly in the dark. As there are so many shot of the dark the twilight is over shadowed. was a shot from my learning days as well.

Janet none of this is beyond you or your camera but you will need a good tripod and external programmable remote. If you look into the star trails album you can see just what you can do. If you need any help you know where to get the how to which is not hard.
